Any idea why openoffice is there in up4?
While browsing through the updates I came across both openoffice as well as libreoffice in the list. I do not have openoffice installed in my system and have no idea why it is being updated. I have unchecked those updates along with a few others (such as the kernel update - I'm only going with the pae update) and want to know if this update is a dependency for something else or ...

Inkit, open synaptic and do a search for openoffice.
yes, you'll see a lot of pkgs showing up, but most of them are transitional pkgs openoffice/libreoffice or pkgs where the branding and/or openoffice reference is still kept.
what matters (at least i believe so) is that the office suite you have installed is libreoffice.
