[Solved] MATE LMDE with UP4; window buttons

Hello,

I just updated LMDE to updatepack 4. Then installed MATE and the combination is better than expected. Very, very nice work!

But I cannot get the window buttons to the left. Changed things on two place with the gconf-editor: apps:metacity - General and desktop - gnome - shell- windows, but neither of those are working.

And i'm missing the timer-applet

Any solutions for this?

Would make a superb distro even better!

I guess you need mateconf-editor (instead of gconf-editor) just like I did.
