Cant type within nautilus eg. when renaming

Hello all

I have an odd problem with nautilus recently. Here a few examples whats going on:

When I select a file for renaming, I cant type any new filename. Also I cant use the backspace to delete anything. The only key working is ESC to abort.
The same thing happens when I create a new directory. As soon as I want to type the name it wont let me do anything.

Strange thing is, I can type well in any other application. So this is only limited to nautilus. After restarting the computer, it works once or twice but then stops working.

I recently installed Ibus to type chinese but I am not sure if this can be a reason for this odd behaviour.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm having the same problem and I can't find any answers anywhere ... guess I'll have to keep looking ... you can rename files by opening them as admin but that just makes it take a lot longer ...

It's a bit of a hassle but if you right click a folder and choose open with 'open folder' you can then go back and edit the file names in the open window ... Not sure why ... got to do a bit more research but it works ...

I uninstalled IBUS and after that everything worked again like a charme... So it seems there is an IBUS bug...
