Configure Vino to only allow local connections

Postby perr0 on Tue Apr 10, 2012 12:38 pm

After a long time trying Ubuntu, I installed Mint 12 for the first time. So far, so good. But there's one issue i could not solve.

I'm trying to configure Vino to allow only local connections. There is a checkbox for that in Ubuntu's Vino, but I can't find it in Mint's Vino. Is it possible? Maybe editing some config file?

I tried to find the answer for this in the forums and Google with no success.

Thanks.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I just found this:

In Ubuntu 11.10 ("Oneiric Ocelot") and newer: open a terminal and run the command gsettings set org.gnome.Vino network-interface lo

Maybe this works on Mint 12. I'll try when I get home.
