[SOLVED] Unify notifications don't work

Postby Bauke on Tue Apr 10, 2012 1:21 pm

Hello,

After updating LMDE with UP4 and now running MATE I see that 'notify-send isn't working anymore. I reinstalled libnotify-bin but that doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Bauke

I can't find a package named notify-send.
I'm not entirely happy with notifications either. I wouldn't know how to call them.
Maybe you could try to reinstall libmatenotify or libnotify1 libnotify0.4-cil notify-osd libnotify4

I got it to work by manually starting
/usr/lib/notification-daemon/notification-daemon

Hello,

'notify-send' is included in the package notify-osd.
All I had to install was mate-notification-deamen and my old batch-files gave a message again.

Thanks!
