Persistent dead icons on the desktop

Post by roger64 »

Hi

I just installed LMDE 64 with Cinnamon. After copying files from Lisa to LMDE, I managed by having three dead icons on my desktop: Computer, Home and one folder. I still have also Computer and Home icons working.

I reinstalled Cinnamon (which btw installs also Gnome Shell and Gnome fallback), suppressed the folder Cinnamon in my Home directory to no avail. I do not know how to get rid of these three dead icons. They do not appear as files (ls -l sees nothing). They are just here, mute, unmovable and vaguely threatening... :D

Any idea welcome.

Now way. I finally had to throw out the wallpaper... Curious, he was not even accepting a brand new version of the wallpaper. Maybe he did not like the colours... Solved this way.
