[solved] Monitor blanks after approx 5 mins

Postby knightmayre on Fri Apr 13, 2012 6:18 am

Hi all,

I've done some searching but either can't find the answers or else don't understand them :(

My issue is that after the screensaver runs for about 5 minutes it blanks.
I wouldn't mind it so much but my monitor goes bright blue when the signal is off which is highly annoying.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Remember I'm a total n00b at this so I need basic answers, if possible.

Thanks in advance,
KM

disable your screensaver then, CMIIW, i think screensaver was intended to run on CRT monitor, not LCD :D so i think no need to use screensaver on LCD/LED

It doesn't make any difference if the screensaver is enabled or not-
The monitor still blanks out after about 5 minutes or so :(

Thanks mate, that was it.
"Screen Energy Saving" in Power Profiles was enabled.
