As currently LMDE is based on the testing version of Debian 7, I would like to know whether there would be LMDE LTS Stable version when Debian 7 becomes stable. Or LMDE would remain based on the next testing verison of Debian? Kindly inform.

Note that since LMDE repo now contains things like MATE, Cinnamon, updated mintMenu (changed to support MATE instead of Gnome 2) and other post-Gnome 2 stuff, it's probably not recommended to try that anymore (and zerozero mentioned that here).

I have been running an installation of LMDE/Stable/Debian Backports using the tutorial mentioned above. Its running just fine, but as you (and zerozero) mention, you do have to watch things being upgraded (there are not many)![]()
The only thing that I had to 'pin' (keep from upgrading) so far is MintMenu. (the new one is a MATE version, the old GTK2)
Its actually a very nice setup, and super stable.
