KDE turns into UNITY!! please help!!

I'm running linux mint 12 KDE. I recently installed avant window navigator and when I restarted the computer, after the KDE log-in screen, my system booted UNITY!!!! How can I get my KDE desktop back>?? please help

Please use the gear icon on the login screen to choose the desktop you want to use.

i think thats not unity , but gnome . because when you install AWN , you must install package components for gnome to support awn too .

how do I switch back from gnome to KDE? System monitor says that it is now running Gnome 3.2.1.

Problem "solved" -- Good call, I was confused because there is no "gear" icon on the login screen in linux mint 12 KDE. Instead there is a little blue arrow that allows you to select the desktop. Somehow my desktop option got confused after I downloaded awn. Thanks!
