reboots immediately after shutdown

Post by DeepBlunder »

Running LMDE Xfce. When I click the menu button and the select "shut down", the system reboots rather powers off. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Behavior has resolved. Not sure what I did to cause this or to make it stop. Sorry for the distraction.

I have one PC box that does this, every now and then, usually when "something" crashes or has some sort of fault.

The solution is to power down the box completely. I usually do this by pulling the power cord at the right time, just after the box first shuts down and before it powers back up. If it happens again, you will figure out when that is.
