Hello from Ohio

Postby maxpro4u on Tue Apr 17, 2012 12:13 am

After trying out a few distros(I have a spindle full), I thought it was time to check out mint 12 lxde. I have an older A31 Thinkpad with a 2Ghz P4 and 512 ram. I was pleased to find that my wireless worked out of the box, sound was great and videos played smoothly. Also it is running a little cooler than some of the others. :D

Welcome to the Linux Mint Forums max!

Mint 12 LXDE works very well, you can find here how to customize and here how to save some RAM.

Cheers.

Posting interval is set to 2.5 minutes for new members. It is an anti-spam measure. Once you are underway to reach level 2 (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=81997#p506317), the posting interval is not applied to you anymore.
