Preview Sound Files in LMDE

Post by kylerickards »

Hi

I have just updated my LMDE but now seem to have lost the ability to hover my mouse over an audio file and get a preview (I know this annoys some but I use the feature a lot). Is there a way for me to reenable this ability please?

Thanks
Kyle

Moved here by moderator. Reason: LMDE.

Do you know which desktop environment you're using now? If not, maybe you've been moved to gnome-shell. Try installing mate-desktop-environment and selecting it at the login screen after clicking on your username.

Without knowing the real solution that's all I can suggest since MATE is similar enough to Gnome 2 that it should behave similarly.

Could be the package gnome-sushi
But still: Try MATE. ;)
