What is Mint4Win and how do I use it?

How do i boot Mint from a VHD image (I mean normally from boot loader such as GRUB or Windows Boot Loader, not virtualization)?

Did you install the dvd or cd edition? Mint4win is only on the cd iso. On the dvd one there's only that 1 kb file. Once you have the cd edition, it's pretty simple.

After i installed Mint (through ubootlin, ...much better) Windows 7 didn't boot from GRUB.. it just refreshed GRUB menu. only Linux did.

Why did this happen? Was it some setting I did during install? Forgot which ones it asked me for.. Annoying how it asks you to select some options without explaining what they are.

So no fixer worked in mint... I uninstalled grub and now i can't boot into anything I just get an error message like no system file or something when I turn the comp on.
How do I get windows + mint working again?

I'm not sure, but what I would do is boot up into a live cd or live usb and make sure you didn't wipe windows by accident. assuming windows is still there, reboot and press the key combination (different for most brands) to bring it to windows restore. It will have two buttons, one that says somethings like "restore" and one that says cancel. Click cancel and it should boot into windows even without grub (at least that what happened to me after I tried to install debian but didn't install grub). Then, once you're in windows, go to windows disk management and delete the mint 12 partition(s). This should make everything boot up correctly. Unfortunately, this is a long shot (it assumes that windows is still there and that your recovery tool works like mine).

Seriously no one in the forum can answer this question.
However, whatever you did, or the installer did, or the bug did to your hardware, the are still left inside the hard disk.
If you really want to spend lots lots of time to probe, you can eventually figure out and not to repeat, or even if repeated it can be recovered to working condition.

Computer boot up with bios and bios pass to boot loader to boot whichever OS you choose.
If you delete the boot loader, you should expect computer to stop booting up OS.
Usually one does not delete boot loader or boot manager, one just repair it, or replace by another one that works.

How to get Win7 to work? just use Win7 CD or recovery disk, follow win7 procedure and repair MBR or boot manager.

How to get Mint or Linux work?
boot from Mint CD, run in Live, look at the documentation of grub2
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2
goto item 12, follow one of the method, it should repair the boot loader.
