Hello,
I have a broadband connect through my onboard ethernet that requires only username and password.It works in Win XP,but in Mint 12 after i put in the user and pass and after trying to connect it disconnects.What kind of settings do i have to do? I'm a complete beginner to linux.The info is overwhelming and i didn't find a step by step guide for configuring my network connection.
Why does at one time is a gray screen and then it's black?

I burned another copy of the Mint 12 DVD and now my connection works... I don't know if I did anything else.
