Did Update and Now No Network!

Before I let the update manager do its thing, everything was working fine. After the update (a lot of files... it had been a long time), neither ethernet nor wireless will connect. How do I fix this?

Thanks, Vincent. It was my wife's computer, and she was eager to get back online. I confess I installed Kubuntu over Mint. (head hanging in shame)

*ubuntu is not perfect, but I sure like their proprietary driver app.
