partition table not working during install

Postby nev_nev_nev on Sun Apr 29, 2012 8:04 am

Hi,
Thanks in advance for your time :)

I've made numerous partitions however as soon as I go to install mint the only device for bootloader installation is /dev/sda with No partition options. With my external hard drive i am given partitioning options however all options are gryed out for my hard drive install. when i click on "install now" i get the message" nor root file system defined".

PLS HELP!!!
thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

If you've manually created partitions for installation, than you need to choose the manual installation option in the installer. Then you need to manually select each partition and specify what it's function is, including "/" and SWAP.
