On every window in Gnome titlebar disappears after ALT+SPACE

Katya 32 bit, Gnome 2.32.1, Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.66 GHz

On every window in Gnome, when I press ALT+SPACE simultaneously, the window titlebar disappears - and only comes back after a restart!!!
It is pretty annoying, does anyone know what would cause that behavior and eventually how to fix it? TIA!

It's either compiz or devilspie. (or quite possibly both together).

I forgot how to restart compiz on the LM OS. Sorry.

You running devilspie at all? Maybe a transparent desktop terminal attempt?

Running compiz, but no devilspie.

Maybe a setting in compiz?

    compiz --replace

Restarts compiz so no need to log out/back in. It's better than having to log out everytime I (accidentally) hit alt+space,
but I still don't know why this happens.

I had the same problem, with the same Mint version.

In my case, I've opened CompizConfig, clicked in EFFECTS button, WINDOW DECORATION button and, in the COMMAND field, I've clicked on RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS (or something like this. My system is setted to Brazilian Portuguese).

The correct value must be: /usr/bin/compiz-decorator
