I just installed Mint 12 with Cinnamon on an Emachines laptop. I needed to set up four users; one admin and two standard with login passwords and one standard with no password (auto login).
While I was working on the laptop, I had all four users set with admin privileges and also had passwords set for each. Once I had everything installed and set up, I changed three of the users to standard accounts, one with auto login selected.
The problem is that the account which is supposed to be auto login still requests a password. I tried deleting the original password, but that didn't work. So I guess I'm going to have to dig deeper to get the auto login working. Can this be set via the command line? And if so, how is this done? Alternatively, is there any other way that I can check the setting of the user account to see why the auto login isn't working?
