Ati Drivers issued ( i think )

Postby eiiko on Tue May 01, 2012 10:10 am

Hey ! this is my 1st time installing a linux distro, after i finished installing OS, i was asked to install some updates ( like 70 ) :/. Once it was done, all my screen became a mess lol, i think its a problem with my ati drviers, not sure tho.
I tried to take a screenshot, but it would only ss my wallpaper, not start bart and those places that looks wierd.
How can i take a screenshot of my full desk to show you what i mean !

Try Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to logout, and at login screen click little cogwheel and select MATE or Gnome classic.
If successful, open terminal, type :
Code: Select all
inxi -N

post the output of inxi here.

@mank_in: I think you meant to ask for the graphics info not the network
Code: Select all
inxi -SGx

But i think , ATI proprietary driver have a lot problem with Gnome3
Maybe the best method is using MATE, KDE or LXDE :)
