Accidentally Deleted Panel

So it was late last night and I was trying to remove an "empty" icon from the bottom panel (which was a result of putting two battery indicators and removing one, leaving a gap where it used to be. In my tiredness, I thought "Delete Panel" was what I needed, so I clicked it an confirmed. My Mint 12 Mate panel is now no more. How do I get the panel back? I can get to terminal and can summon the menu via the dropdown shortcut, but I would more prefer the panel . I've only seen instructions for Gnome panels and not Mate.

well,you could press down 'Alt+F2' and type in the command

Thank you for the suggestions. I think the panel might've been there all along after login or restart. It was instead at the top of the screen, blank, without any of the buttons on it (no Menu, time, workspace switcher, etc.). I missed it because I thought the background image was incorrectly offset because of the "missing" panel and gray was the default background color. All I needed to do was move it back to the bottom and add these items back to the panel.

Strange, the panel didn't reset though even after I purged it and installed it and its dependencies again (mate-panel).

This is an option added in MATE (not from GNOME2) to restore default panels.
