Having a few problems after mint 12 install

Postby mattmers on Thu May 03, 2012 2:13 pm

-I can't get the graphics card drivers to install.
-The screen keeps going pixely for a second or to. It just shows a pattern green and grey.
-quite a few of the smaller text boxes are becoming "tilted." Everything in the box outline is tilted.
-package problems (the package manager says there are 3 broken packages)

Any help is appreciated, thx

Graphics: please share the output of the following command run on the terminal, to give us the basics of your graphics card:
Code: Select all
inxi -SGxc 0

Broken packages: try the following command:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install -f

Please share the output if it doesn't help.

First problem, suggest you post those details in a new topic here, requesting help with getting drivers installed for your graphics card.

Second problem, please run the following command and share the output:
Code: Select all
dpkg -l | grep -v ^ii
