weird! i installed gnome screenshot and now gnome is my default manager? it says nautilus is installed? what? how do i get my xfce desktop back and uninstall all this gnome stuff?

i uninstalled logged out and back in and back to xfce desktop. that was weird simply using the gnome screenshot would take over the system like that

i don't know much xfce (only used it for some months last year) but i believe that being gnome-screenshot a gnome app it woke up nautilus

There are more than one way it will somehow come up

by the way, xfce should already have its own screenshooter.
for mine, I would hit the "prt scrn/sysRq' button and a popup will appear. Give it a try to see if yours had it installed. it is called xfce4-screenshooter.

1. synaptic, type nautilus in search and see it graphically.
2. on terminal , type apt-cache policy nautilus and see what it says

yeah i forgot xfce had its own screen shot. i was more curious if nautilus comes with all the xfce installs? i don't remember installing it and though it would be odd to be included on xfce.

It comes from the release iso.
