Yes, how is that solving my problem? 
FYI it was a problem with the permissions on the home folder b/c I had invalid chars in the user name.

You can't ever expect someone to help you when you give no information at all. Vincent was trying to make you read the Forum Guidelines, which explain how to get help, and you obviously didn't. Please provide more information the next time because our Magic Crystal Ball is currently borken.
