Axiom-61 MIDI keyboard

I hooked up an Axiom-61 keyboard during installation of Mint Lisa 64 DV, and at some point the installation just went iddle with no progress. I ran the system monitor and all processes were "sleeping".

I figured the device caused the halt, because when I removed it, and re-installed, everything went just fine.

However, I would appreciate help in links or suggestions on how to have Mint recognize it so I can try some audio music making with what is available for Studio
in Mint.
