Hi all,
I've recommended Mint to a friend and he wants me to upgrade his graphics card and then install mint as a fresh install (removing Microsoft )
I just wondered - he uses a USB dongle for internet access, will this run out of the box on Mint or will it have a windows firmware built into the dongle to make it run on windows?
Had a problem with my other friends USB wireless router - it had windows software coded into it and the USB would only work on windows so we just bought a better router to fix the problem.
I suppose this is more of a dongle question than a Mint question but just wanted to know if anyone runs a dongle for internet on Mint for net access?
Thanks

Check the Mint Community Website Hardware Database. There are over 100 wireless adapters and dongles listed with feedback on how they worked in various Mint versions
