Hi everyone, am new to Linux but i must say its been an experience. A sizable number of computers in Kenya run on pirated windows OS. The Government is cracking down hard on anyone with counterfeit windows software. I therefore moved to Linux ( pclinux, then xubuntu and finally mint for the last 4 months).
I prefer mint as its easier to use and well thought out ( especially for an ex-XP user). My big thank you to all contributors on forums.linux.com for making the shift simple and easy through the various posts and tutorials.

Totally agree. Most if not all of the cyber cafes in my home town are running Linux. Its great that people are having no trouble moving to Linux and other open source programs.
