Can't finish LiveCD boot
About half way through the LiveCD boot of Mint Debian, screen goes blank. Boot apparently continues, but can't see a thing. Flickering of DVD and Hard Drive finally stops, but screen is still blank.

Re: Can't finish LiveCD boot
Could you give some more information? Such as what brand and model computer, video card, etc?
Re: Can't finish LiveCD boot
The MB is an Intel D510MO mini-ITX. Has 2 Gib RAM, CPU runs a 1.66 GB, Dual core Atom. It works fine with Ubuntu 10.04, and wanted to dual boot with Ubuntu.
Could not even LiveBoot Mint Debian till I added the nomodeset acpi=off. After I did install of Mint Debian, couldn't boot either OS. Tried again with just Mint Debian on HD. Install completed, but could not boot. Gave up, and put Ubuntu 10.04 back. No problem.
Chipset: Intel NM10 Express
Integrated Graphics: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 (Intel GMA 3150) graphics subsystem with support for analog displays (VGA)
Mint Debian works fine on an AMD 64 bit dual core Compaq tower, 2.8 GB, 3 GiB RAM. Installed OS as 32 bit.

Re: Can't finish LiveCD boot
There's something wrong with the graphic drivers. When presented with a blank screen you could try to get to console with Ctrl+Alt+F1
Look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log if it gives any errors.
http://intellinuxgraphics.org/ also offers drivers for GMA 3150
