Hi
I'm Grez from the UK
Just installed Mint 12 yesterday in the hope that it will give me more pleasure than recent editions of Ubuntu and Fedora
Don't get me wrong, it's not the user interface that got me down, it was the fact that I was having to mess around after "Disk Error" at bootup - something which I think was connected with the nVidia driver TBF (as I never get this with my other Ubuntu boxes without nVidia). However, I had an overscan problem with the Fedora Nouveau driver, and of course Ubuntu just automatically loads nVidia for you, so by the time you've finished clowning around with the install it's too late!
I've had a copy of Mint 9 as a backup install on here, and the trusty old OS hasn't let me down, so I thought I'd give 12 a whirl. I never really liked the Windows-y feel of the old UI, which is why I never really persevered with it, but I'm so far impressed with the new GNOME 3 experience, and I'm hoping that I've finally found a distro I can rely on.
Best wishes
Grez
