Weather panel app with forecast and radar gone in 12?

Just switched from Linux Mint 11 to 12, and I'm very frustrated that I can't find any way to get the old Weather app in the Panel. I'm using MATE, but I've also tried the default UI and Cinnamon to no avail. There are weak replacements with current conditions and a simple graphical forecast, but there's nothing with a detailed forecast and radar image (which are the most important things for me). I loved the old Weather panel app in 11 (it wasn't perfect, but it got the job done); is there any way to get it back? Is anyone working on a suitable replacement?

I too had the same irritation of missing weather notifications.. It was always showing 0degrees! Then installed the Cairo-dock (http://www.glx-dock.org) and the weather dock functions in that without a hitch -besides a tonne of other nice features!

That doesn't seem to include radar or detailed forecasts.

Couldn't find anything, so I made my own. Simple shell script that launches weather-util in Terminal to bring up the current conditions and forecast, and simultaneously brings up a Midori window with the regional radar. Launcher right next to the clock and built-in weather display on the bottom of the screen - click the launcher once to open, click again to close (just like the old weather tray app).
