Mint X Theme broken?

Postby mint123 on Thu May 10, 2012 3:08 pm

I'm trying to add the Mint looks to a Debian Squeeze computer with xfce. I have installed the following Mint packages but the theme is broken.
Code: Select all
gtk2-engines-murrine (0.90.3-2)
mint-x-icons (1.0.7)
mint-x-theme (1.0.7)
gtk2-engines (1:2.20.1-1)
mint-artwork-debian (2012.04.18)
mint-artwork-xfce (2012.04.22)

I have this.

when I should have this.

I can't figure out what else it needs. Any suggestions?? :?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

just checking (something that you might have overlooked): the theme is installed in /usr/share/themes?

Yes, it is. All the other themes work fine too, including the murrine themes.

Thanks zerozero, to get that murrine engine installed into the ancient Debian Stable needs 15 or so dependencies first. That's just where I stopped counting. I took an image of the OS and upgraded to Testing to see if it would have the same problem. This is what I get.

My Mint system uses Cinnamon but is this a new update pack 4.x look for xfce?
