What happens when you put into terminal (maybe with root rights):
- Code: Select all
shutdown -h -P now

inxi -Fx would have been clearer.
Where should I put pci=conf1? In the kernel parameters list??
Where you put the other three. Without the three.

Or just add it to the menu entry:
http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual ... try-editorI'm just guessing here. Don't want to get your hopes up.
After trying
- Code: Select all
shutdown -h -P now
, I still get the message "system halted". I'm guessing it has to do with a hardware setting that is turned off with the 3 commands I normally enter. I tired entering the kernel parameter, but I still get the same results. I seriously hope there is a fix for this, I have the need to turn my system off remotely sometimes.
Here is the output of inxi -Fx

I should point out that I had ubuntu 10.04 and debian (stable?) installed on my computer and they both worked fine. I think either maybe something that is in ubuntu and debian is either disabled or not installed by defualt
