Mint 13 (Maya) RC out

the waiting won't be long now :) the MATE ed. of Linux Mint 13 (Maya) LTS are already being tested at the community-website

ahh :lol: there's no public betas or links to d/l these isos. once they are approved for RC release, they will be in a mirror near you (don't worry :wink: )

And according to this post, it's Cinnamon 1.4 with some fixes, not 1.5 as some people were expecting...

will this edition work with compiz fusion? as i miss my wobbly windows and will not update until this is installed out the box style? :)

i want ma wobbly windows :P

My internet speeds have been absolutely terrible the last few days :( so I have a few hours to go :cry: . I'm downloading the 32-bit Cinnamon ISO, but I'll download the MATE one too if I have time.

Zerozero, thanks for the screenshots. Is that the theme that comes by default? I ask because IIRC the LMDE MATE version used Mint-X as the theme (or Mint-X-Metal). Anyways, I have 2 hours to go :( .

cww, the default is Mint-X, on the screenies it's Mint-Z (not a big difference tbh :lol: )
at the moment fighting with compiz on live-session :mrgreen:
