Installed and updated mint 13, then installed gnome shell. Problem is I cannot log into gnome shell, no option...except for gnome classic and I can't log into classic anyway it defaults to Cinnamon. Any known issues?.

Anyway thanks for your reply I see there is a glich with MDM...gootta run, don't wnat the wife to see me on pc...supposed to be cleaning toilet

I am curious as to any replies as I've had the same problem (and my wife has not made me clean the house today .... yet).
I was able to install Ubuntu 12.04 and also gnome-shell w/o any problem.

I'm having the same problem. Has anyone attempted replacing MDM with LightDM? I'm too afraid to try
