This might be the wrong place to put this, but does anyone know a good repo to find the newest alsa (1.0.16) packages. I'm wanting to get my sound card working, and i'm pretty sure they got all of the bugs worked out for it y now. Thanx

I doubt it's in a repo yet, it was released as stable three days ago
You could go to the alsa main page or to
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+sou ... 2-0ubuntu1
to download and compile the driver
Not that the launchpad version is for hardy so try it on your own risk
