Changing firefox icon for use in AWN

Post by jonass »

So I have had this problem before when using AWN, even if I changed the firefox icon to something custom I like when I actually opened it, it would revert back to the default "eye". I went through the firefox folders and deleted the eye icon and replaced it with the custom one I wanted. This fixed the problem until I updated today and now it reverts to the eye again whenever I open firefox. For the life of me I can't even find an eye icon anywhere on my computer, I've looked in pixmaps, hicolor icons, firefox folders, I even changed the icon for the firefox application in /usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop; it still reverts to the eye when a firefox window is open. anyone have any suggestions for how to get rid of the eye permanently? I just want to replace it one that is already on my computer but I don't know what else to do. I am on Mint 11
