Hi,
Ive had LMDE 1.4 w/cinnamon up on my amd_64 for about a week now. previously i was running Debian sid with fluxbox after the Gnome issues started getting messy and was looking forward to trying cinnamon.
when the rolling release was touted I was sold, but i have been waiting for some issues to be sorted out with qbittorrent and wasn't seeing any updated in my synaptic. So I went to check in the repositories "http://debian.linuxmint.com/latest" and noticed that there is a fair time lag between the file dates there and "http://ftp.debian..org/debian". As an experiment i added the 'debian" repository to synaptic and refreshed... AAK !! It wanted to remove a great deal of software ( bye-bye cinnamon ) well i didn't go through with that upgrade but now I am wondering how often is the debian.linuxmint pool re-synced with changes in debian testing ? I may have been spoiled by running Sid for so long but having graphic update history might be usefull.
thanks...
