Ok
So sound is working OK, but the problem is that the subwoofer is not controlled by the hardware volume.
How are the speakers connected? Does the subwoofer have its own connection?

That's a sound card I'm not familiar with.
This is an increasing problem - you have a knob of sorts on your lappy and turn it or plug in headphones and nothing happens, because it's some software controlled hardware...
This can drive you nuts :cry:
