Just a little heads up about an impressive (almost) new extension in case anyone here aren't following linux blogs. It replaces the activities overview with a sort of Unity dash/overview/old gnome menu hybrid - looks a little bit like the still in beta pantheon shell launcher "Slingshot" (http://www.thinklinux.com/wp-content/up ... ngshot.png) but with some Unity dash goodness added to it. Anyway fun to play with though you'll soon miss the standard windows overview if you need that to navigate between open windows instead of Alt Tab.

Re: Bolt extension for Gnome Shell
Impressive.
Well, now I get a weird feeling that Gnome 3 devs totally had no idea what exactly they want in the overview, and so they made it as poor as it is now while hoping someone comes up with something better.
Nevermind. Is keyboard navigation possible in this screen? And does the search field get focus automatically?

@Monsta
Yes it has full keyboard navigation and the search does auto-focus when you start typing.
