Canon LBP2900B driver for Mint 13
Hi,
Has anyone found the right driver for this model of printer? We have downloaded the driver from Canon site and installed it. Still it would not print. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.

this chap

has developed a script for this class of printers; I think you can trust him; however linux is for adults and I leave the final decision to you;
I did think I had these printers sorted:

(as I did on Mint but updating to a more recent Mint has meant I can't use it! I plan another session to sort shortly

Re: Canon LBP2900B driver for Mint 13
It is unfortunate that even though I have posted a request for help on the forum for the printer setup on my DV6000 HP for the Printer LBP2900B , I have still not got a reply from any of the moderators or experts. Neither the links that are appearing in other forums are able to solve. It was working on Mint 12 and do not seem to add the printer in Mint 13. Any one who could set up who can help me or any expert who has a solution?bindo wrote:Hi, I am too waiting for a solution. That link is not working for the code to download. Re: Canon LBP2900B driver for Mint 13
when I google on
it all seems to be gnome keyring issues; I suggest you disable gnome keyring and see if that helps you
.........I enclose a link below that tells you how.............

Re: Canon LBP2900B driver for Mint 13
sorry Vincent;
I didn't make it clear in my earlier post:
I have now gone back and edited it: and highlighted it in red; Sivella in the Ubuntu post tells how: post #6 of the thread
.....it all worked for me, and the LBP reliably prints each time;
let us know how it goes for you
