BP, nahh, you should add the qt-kde repo to the others (as for packages.linuxmint is up to you really, it won't hurt being there but it won't do any good either
)
but
before you start make a backup of your system (clonezilla for example), i'm saying this because i tried it this morning and although i got no errors with the update the final result is far from satisfactory:
- 3 to 5 min to boot into kde (gnome boots just fine right after)
- after this looooong boot the system is unusable: every app takes several min to open and sometimes they just don't open
- at the same time gnome-shell behaves fine as always
- hardly is a hardware issue, the laptop has 3gig ram and a core2duo and ran kde before just dandy (but not this debian 4.8.3)
- might be just me, anyway better to warn you in advance
