creating desktop icons for Windows files in Mint 13

Postby Katyanewb on Fri Jun 01, 2012 3:49 pm

I run Mint 13 Cinnamon 64-bit and I love it, but I'm having trouble creating a desktop incon for a Windows program I run through Wine. The program is wow-64.exe (the world of warcraft 64-bit beta). When you first run it it creates a whole bunch of folders and files it needs in order to run. On every subsequent run it just makes use of those files. If I use the normal way to create a desktop shortcut, the program just ends up creating a bunch of files and folders on my desktop, as if it can't see that they exist already in its original directory on the Wine C drive. Can someone help?
