I installed LMDE 201204 (x64) today. It's fast for me. I like lots of it. But I have a few problems and some scratch-my-head "duh" things going on.
My first question: I installed in English and I speak English, but I also speak German. So do other intended users. Now I want to add German to the system. The keyboard was easy. The language? Not so much. I go to language support and Chinese is in there along with British English and Spanish. (I didn't tell any of those to install themselves. I did the setup with US American English selected, but a European time zone (since I am in Germany). Anway: no German appears. No other languages appear. I can't find anything in the self-same FAQ or user guide. Huh?

The answer is detailed here:

Found via a Google search. I'm surprised nobody here elucidated. I did search last night before posting, but didn't find this info then.
