Sound on Dell XPS M170 not working properly
hey i recently installed mint 4.0 on my lenovo 3000 y410 775754q laptop for dual boot with windows vista home basic. i'm not getting audio output on mint platform. i'm new to linux please tell me what to do.....?

Help us help you, post all relevant information. Not having sound does not give us much to work from, we need at the very least your audio card name, the best would be output of:
Type that in a terminal window (Alt + F2, type gnome-terminal). You could also just google yourself, try using "audio card ubuntu", replace audio card with the name lspci gives you.
