Different home dvd players support different formats
Although so called file sharing is commonplace we don't support that (can't probably)

What is the media you use ? I know that DVD-rw does not play on my dvd-player; dvd-r or dvd+r is no problem.

yeah DVD-rw and DVD+r is probably a no go
