I've already install Linux Mint on my mom's laptop and it was really smooth and easy and now I'm trying to install it on my dad's desktop but I keep getting problems. It takes forever for the live CD to load and I never get the desktop, it keeps giving the following error after I tell it I want to view the failed xserver's error:
/etc/gdm/failsafeXServer: line 47: [: too many arguments
Warning could not retrieve EDID because get-edid is not installed (1)
LiveCD: Could not Start Xserver
