I installed Linux Mint 13 (MATE) today and I am very happy with it.

It is just everything I wanted to work comfortably.

I just like to learn and to program as a hobby.

Yea, I was using Ubuntu 12.04 but I was experiencing so many bugs with the user interface that I decided to try linux mint 13 which has a better desktop for me.

I've been testing out Mint since about the new year, but have been too busy with lots of other stuff (life) to tinker much.
Now I've upgraded to Maya and I like everything so far.

Welcome dude! Hope you enjoy the journey. I've been running mostly Arch Linux lately but threw Mint 13 Cinnamon on an extra partition and I have to say it works quite well.
