Minimal Bash-Like Editing is Supported

Post by android »

Reinstalled grub, computer won't boot now - goes to the gnu grub screen "Minimal Bash-Like Editing is Supported". Tried repairing with boot-repair and it didn't work.

To give us some info, please from the live session visit http://bootinfoscript.sourceforge.net/. Then:
1. Follow the download link
2. Extract the file "bootinfoscript" from the downloaded file
3. Open a terminal at the directory where you put the "bootinfoscript"
4. Run:

Code: Select all

sudo ./bootinfoscript
5. Open the newly created RESULTS.txt file, and copy & paste its contents into your reply here (you can also use http://pastebin.com and share the link here)

With that information, the knowledgeable users here can probably suggest a next step.
