Try to connect without any encryption and see if you have success
Then we can take it from there

I think the Linksys WUSB family is Linux friendly - at least the 54G works well

Most of the posts I read about the Linksys and Mint are people not able to get the USB device recognized by the system or finding a network.
Exactly - that's why they post here - most wusb_something just connects....
There is something called "Roaming mode"
Uncheck that and see what happens, sometimes it's the only way to connect to your own network - sometimes the opposite is true..... :roll:

Yeah Linux takes some learning (depending on your hardware) but once you learn what there is to learn it opens up an entirely new world to you.
