LMDE is a POS

So, I'm trying to fix my 'VLC problem' of it hissing whenever you use it.

I thought maybe install some packages and see if it's related to the crappy Pulse.

But, I can't upgrade anything. I have a dependencies problem and I noticed some packages have *ubuntu* in them. Isn't this supposed to be 100% Debian? LOL.
