Some good news at last for Americans!
Assuming one has a job:
"After a mere five minutes on the job, an American worker has earned enough money to be able to buy a beer. We’re #1!"
They list the average price of a beer at $1.80 at a package or grocery store. Around here a good CRAFT beer can be had for $1.40 to $1.60 if bought in a 6-pack. Must be higher taxes in most states.

BTW, President Obama's favorite beer is Yuengling (largest US owned brewery).
Romney is a teetotaler as his religion forbids alcohol and caffeine.
"Never refuse to do a kindness unless the act would work great injury to yourself, and never refuse to take a drink- under any circumstances." - Mark Twain
HAPPY OKTOBERFEST!

Hello Ken,
This is good news indeed.
But how long does it take him to get back on the job after he's had the booze?
Cheers and Bottoms up!

Re: THE MINT CAFE
Hi npap.
Good point about beer and work!
More good news... It takes 0 minutes of work to afford the best computer operating system. Mint is free!
Drinks are also free here in the café (drink responsibly).

Re: THE MINT CAFE
Well Ken,
The MintBar stock has been depleted since the last time you were there. We need a bartender too.
It was unfortunate that you had to quit the job. We can't find any good bartenders to work for just a glass of beer and peanuts
The economic crisis has hit the Mint Cafe too.
And though you can get Mint free as a free beer, the booze is not free anymore.
The IMF is also threatening to close us down permanently if we don't apply severe austerity measures.
Let's hope we will get a chance to re-organize, otherwise we may have to go back to the Mintbar of the past.
Clem couild only afford this in the beginning. Remember?
And here is your donation soon after:
The good old days! I miss them.

Re: THE MINT CAFE
Ah yes, I remember those days.
Now if we could only get rid of this guy, we might be able to restock the bar.
He's been around as long as I can remember!

Welcome to the Mint Cafe, king Duzu
We haven't had any kings in this forum, so it is indeed an honor to see you here.
Here's a drink for your Majesty :)

Oh, dearl lord, there's a senator (R-Idaho) named Mike Crapo, who's in the news today because of a DUI charge against him. Methinks he's missing a "'p" from his surname.
